A new lifestyle

Well, I have completely made over my eating habits. Since the 17th of September, I have been focused on a Vegan meal plan. This plan excludes meats, fish, dairy, and all the derivatives. I make sure I get my protein each day, manly through beans and legumes, but also some protein powder along the way. I am exercising regularly with swimming at least 3 (64x25) times a week and weights 3 (12x12x100) times a week and walking in between. We also strive to get up early, 6:00am, to have the swimming and/or walking done in the early morning. The early rising has enabled me to start the day with a much better breakfast than I ever have before. This really helps me maintain a regular meal schedule. I am watching my calories still and have reduced them to maintain weight loss. I am a little surprised that I having lost more but I do feel slimmer and healthier.

Sept. 26, 2006 JASON 203.0 26.5%

My body fat coming down to me may be a sign of muscle gain offsetting the weight loss.

On July 25, 2006 I had 61.02 lbs of body fat. Today I have 53.8 lbs of body fat. So I have lost 7.22 lbs of body fat in 70 days or .10 lbs. per day. I did have the trip in the middle which didn’t help these numbers. The day I am really comparing to as a start date is September 5th when we came back from vacation.

Here are the numbers from the 5th of September. 211.8 lbs with 30.2% body fat or 63.96 lbs. of body fat. Now only 22 days later, I have lost 8.8 lbs and 10.16 lbs of body fat. I don’t think it means I have put on 1.36 lbs of muscle but it does look better. This is .46 lbs of body fat every day on average. Oh, and the 203 today is with a full breakfast in me compared to the September number which was on empty!
